If we want to foster independent play time for our children, it's the wonderful way that babies learn and show us what they're interested in. So when a child is dependent on us to place them in a position, they are essentially starting off play dependently without the freedom to make choices. Andt's how they deepen their knowledge about all kinds of things. It's how they develop a long attention span because they're following their own interests. Learning is fun. Learning is exploring, experimenting,. It's a joy. It's a natural instinct. If you really look at these babies, if you really observe them, you can see that they're pretty much frozen from the waist down.
