Hip hop started off underground, but those fashions were always kind of spilling over into the underground cultures of every neighborhood. So at a certain point hip hop became somewhat mainstream. That was a good thing. But that does this mainstream mean white? Yeah, it does. It means, you know, the white power structure has control of the airwaves.
