Magdalena's Exhibition at the Tate Modern
Magdalena was an extraordinarily dedicated artist to the kind of way that her work was shown. Her first exhibition in 1960, for instance, had been shut down because it was too formalistic. She is shaped by the social and political conditions of her life. And she saw her mother get her arms shot off by a German soldier.
