The Godfather: Is It Possible?

The first godfather movie came out 50 years ago this week. The logic of film making economically appears to basically bifocate it is. There's a long tail of loss making films which never really earn their money back, even the small amount of money put in. To be a credible player, if you look at the big studios, there's a symmetry between the most successful outlets and those who are concentrated on certain brands.
