Co newport talks about the idea of productive meditation. He says that's what he would do as he would go for a walk and think about his problems. Or just focus on one problem, not not a bunch, just one, anything that's important. And i want to touch on something when you ware talking about, like, checking facebook and stuff like that. It also is a way to possibly have a passive form of ampathy towards the world. I've actually once the part of the book working on here in silence and secret u before releasing it to the world. Knocked, knock, knock. At the end of his wake.
On this vault episode of the podcast, I bring back Patrick Rhone. He is an author and speaker who helps guide people to the balance and peace that comes through mindfulness, introspection, and truth. Patrick and I have lots of great conversations, and not all of them are recorded - so this was a treat to revisit.
This time around we focus on reading more (and better), mindfulness (and Patrick’s book “Mindfulness for Mere Mortals), and much more.
I always have a blast talking with Patrick. I hope you enjoy the show as much as I enjoyed putting it together.
