Antonin Dvorak's Prescription for African American Music
Dvorak believed that anything called American music should be based on African American music. Mildred Tonsor wrote an article about black music in the United States, but it was not written by a man named Johann Tonsor. Fran Michael wanted to learn more about this and did lots of searching. He finally discovered there was no Johann.
