The Calm Before the Storm

The phrase the calm before the storm is a weather phrase, but it can also be used in other contexts in English. If you are trying to say that something is very calm before it is going to become chaotic, for instance, I say this a lot with children. Another way to just say that you think a storm is going to happen is to say, I feel a storm coming. You could also say,I feel rain coming or I feel snow coming, but I feel aStorm coming means that you just think that the sky and everything looks like a storm is coming.
