The Demographics of the Effective Altruist Movement

The demographics of the effective altruist movement have been charged with being predominantly white or predominantly male. I suspect the core driver here is that effective altruism is quite analytical as a set of ideas. And John Stuart Mill early on pointed the set of a Jeremy Bentham, right? So matters which are highly analytical for whichever reason, they tend to be more male. They tend to skew more educated, which in most countries is going to favor white.
