The Social Role

The way we perceive the things we perceive in the world and the way that we apprehend it has to do with the stories we're living out in those roles or stories, right? The idea that if you think of yourself as a police officer, you're going to relate to the world and to other people in a certain way. It's going to be shaped indelibly by that role that you're playing. We really do inhabit those roles and they shape, you're not just acting.
