Is It Necessary to Tell a Story?
I think these moments in life come to you where you are driven and even you look at the obstacles and for some reason, they don't hold you back. They make you run harder. I never in a million years would have thought that I'd be telling a story. In France, I barely speak the language, nor about terrorism. That was the last subject I'd ever want to spend seven years making a film about. But yeah, I was called to this. And nothing else in the world mattered but telling this story.
