I feel like one of the things that gets a lot of school leaders stuck is the sunk cost fallacies. You know with the classic example being the resistance get rid of levelled readers because schools have invested you know thousands of dollars in buying them. It's worth investing in the devoteables and it's not really chucking everything out. We put levels 1 to 9 or 8 of g in a storeroom because they just were too predictable in patent text. Yeah I don't think our kids were as bad as the data was presenting. If they were told do one hour of silent reading in the morning as you're reading hour that's what they would do.
