The Challenge of Renewable Energy in the UK
The UK has some of the world's biggest offshore wind farms and a large percentage of electricity coming from green sources. Currently we've got 200 gigawatts, or is it non-nause, giga watters, but it's a lot of electricity in the queue for connections. In fact, I mean, we've got a solar farm, we want to build in Durham, and I don't think we'll have a connection until 2036. So there's a demand for it. There's a rationale, both economic and political to get it going, kind of everybody wants it,. But there's just massive queue of what, several years.
