How Do You Tell a Story About a Drug?

The first episode of the first season was about the drug Quaylud in South Africa. I thought this is a rare instance of a drug that is prohibited, usually prohibition just doesn't work but sometimes it kind of works under some circumstances. It struck me as so unusual that there would be this one place on earth where people continue to use QuaylUD and wouldn't it be cool to tell a story about how that came to be? So yeah great story but easier said than done. Yeah and it took two trips to South Africa and a lot of time building relationships to get to the point where I was able to do that.
