There's two places in the Constitution that we see this clean and helpful environment language. The Pennsylvania Constitution, which was adopted a year before Montana's in 1971, has a very similar provision. And it's interesting, there's a similar youth led lawsuit in Hawaii that's going to go to trial in a couple of months. We keep fighting so that the next generation won't have to fight as hard but it keeps getting harder.

Held v. Montana, a first-of-its-kind climate lawsuit, pits young people — and their constitutionally enshrined right to a clean environment — against a state with pro-fossil fuel policies.
