The Bible forbids man stealing, which is something like kidnapping where you forcibly seize someone. In reality, it's the Lord providing for them because none of it would have happened apart from the Lord miraculously revealing to Joseph that this was going to happen. Even though he's taking their land, so to speak, 80% of the land still in some way belongs to them. The bigger point here is that salvation and security and blessing is only found in the seed of Abraham and not in the political powers of Egypt.
