Ammonium Nitrate and the Beirut Explosion

Monium nitrate is a fertilizer that allows nitrogen to be used to grow plants. It has been used in explosives for the Oklahoma City bombing, a government building was bombed in Oklahoma in 1995. There's a similar ammonium nitrate disaster off the coast of Texas with a ship that had been abandoned with a lot of ammonium Nitrate in it. The United States are working towards getting the fertilizer more well regulated.
