The Difference Between Fixed Target and Particle Colliders

There are two general types of particle colliders. We have the fixed target experiments, which fire a beam of particles at a target at rest,. and particle colliders, which collide two beams together into each other. The most famous electron-positron collider was the LEP collider at the CERN laboratory in Switzerland. And it's going to pick up where we left off today and take a deep dive into the Large Hadron Collider.
