This past year has seen protests through latin america in a lot of places about the inequality that persists. Some people have wondered why brazil hasn't seen those kind of protests and speculated that maybe it's because the economy here is starting to get better. And if there's one thing we've learned about protests is that they can happen really quickly. If the government doesn't start taking inequality more seriously, there could be a time when poor bBrazilians say they've had enough.
