The Role of Geography in American Politics
From the founding of the country until recently, American politics was more geographic than it was ideological. We built our political system on that premise; we have congressmen that represent geographic areas and senators who represent larger geographic areas called states. But arguably, geography is less important now than it's ever been in world history. So getting back to the question at hand, what would a new constitution look like? I think I would significantly lessen the role geography plays in representative government.
