Ruth and Elliot's First Television Commercial
Ruth and Elliot started making toy doll furniture in the 1950s. The couple's first groundbreaking television commercial debuted in 1955 on the very first episode of the children's television show the Mickey Mouse Club. And it is because of this commercial that the many successive commercials that followed that route is actually considered to be a pioneer of television marketing, particularly in the realm of children's toys.
