The EDL and the Rise of Al Mahajirum
The English Defense League or the EDL was formed in 2010 to fight back against perceived Islamification of the UK. The town of Luton is a very strongly ethnic Bangladeshi ethnic Pakistani demographic. It was also home to, or at least it was a stronghold of the deadliest jihadist group in the UK - Al Mahajirum. They would burn poppies on Remembrance Day and abuse soldiers who were engaging in parades. And so this led to a lot of conflict between the EDL and the Al Mahajorum.
