CBDCs and Credit Unions

In many states, merchant can refuse to take cash. I put up some links on the states that are requiring cash or pushing back. There's been some proposals for legislation, Feds, but you should assume that your state has jurisdiction. What is the best way to hold cash options? We were considering savings accounts at various local banks. Bills at home, CDs at local banks, US Treasury, some of each.
