The Quaker Diner
The waitress cathy evolved into one of three different protagonists of my eventual six page story. Cathy had been working at the quaker diner for just under a year when i met her. Awhile, kathy supports two children, but she can't bear to return to her old job in the state tax department where she spent 23 years. Likes serving school principals, trinity students and th conductor of the hartford symphony orchestra. Most of all, she likes calling the older customers honey and sweety, and seeing their day brighten ever so slightly.
