Children and Animal Rights in the Post-Colonial Era

The British believed that African children were innocent as just the same land narrative you hear in other parts of the world. But their innocence allowed them to treat animals kindly, according to NFS. So during the 1930s when a debate about cruelty to animals intensified, the British made dedicated steps to increase the affection that children would have for animals. The next few chapters look at different aspects of animal rights in colonial Nigeria. They include nature, conservation, zoos or anti-animal cruelty laws.
