Training Wheel Laws Are Good for You
The Torah says that it would get all wormy and spoil, so you could not hoard. You couldn't violate them. Here God is saying, I don't need you to build me any palaces or storehouses for grain. These laws are actually for you. But they're training wheel laws. They're getting you used to the idea of law. We had a terrible traumatic relationship with law back with the old king in Egypt.
