A lot of this seems pretty depressing, I have to say. It is. And a bunch of these movies will probably be pretty bad. But the Barbie movie could run. This has been happening for a while. It's just rare to see it done well. Blood and Gold takes place in 1945 towards the end of World War II. If you enjoyed Sisu, but were like, hey, it's not really realistic enough for me, might actually enjoy Blood and Gold.
