The Serbian Empire and Its Importance

On June 28th, Serbia declared war on the Ottoman Empire. The battle of Kosovo is very significant to Serbian national identity. In 1689, Austrian forces seize Kosovo from the Ottomans and local Serbs end up joining them to fight the Turks. This causes a massive flux of refugees from Kosovo to Hungary.
