Judge Derry's Powers as Special Master

On September 15, Judge Cannon entered an order that appointed Judge Derry as the special master. That's the thing that got appealed up to the 11th Circuit. The specific duties of the special master are as follows: A, verify that the property inventory is correct. B, conduct a privilege review of the seized materials and make recommendations to the court in relation to any privilege disputes between the parties. C, identify personal items, documents, and presidential records and make Recommendations to the courts. And D, evaluate claims for the return of property under Rule 41G of the federal rules of criminal procedure.
