Functionalism and Anger
Aristotle is thought to be a functionalist. He thinks that there's a material component of anger, which is like the blood boiling round the heart,. But then there's also what it is to be angry, which islike a desire for revenge. Many scholars were not at all happy about the actualization and adaptation of aristotle's theory of the soul.
