The False Story of Reconstruction
In 1935, W.E.B. Du Bois wrote Black Reconstruction in America. It was a school of thought that denied black achievements and celebrated white supremacy. Nearly 90 years later, the actual history still goes untaught because it's often one of Black efforts and White backlash. Hannah: This idea of politically successful and powerful people who were formerly enslaved is such an important one.
