UK Prime Minister Liz Truss is also not budging on the plan, even though she's been warned she could face defeat in the House of Commons. OPEC and its oil producing allies plan to prop up prices with a substantial cut in production. US Space Agency NASA has already started awarding contracts to private companies to come up with a replacement for the International Space Station.

Opec+ is planning to cut oil production, and Tories are in Birmingham for their annual party conference while demonstrations against the cost of living crisis spread across the UK. Plus the FT’s Peggy Hollinger tells us what the US space agency Nasa is planning to do once the International Space Station is decommissioned.
