In the early 1980s, there was this sense that menstruating women shouldn't hike in grizzly bear country. Menstrual fluid is strong a response in polar bears as the odor of their primary prey, the ring seal. As it turned out, I wasn't able to get funding for the study. There was some concern that I wouldn't be good enough with my crossbow. We know Gray Wolves are so very social they'll advertise their presence through urine or feces. And so I have purposely made Red Wolves radioactive by making them shit on the road and picking up an individual signature based on scats.
