Hayek, Is Economics a Science?
Hayek is very emphatic that you need to have, that the state needs to be there to maintain fairness in the market. He had this preoccupation with intellectual history and particularly with the allure and persistence of bad ideas. So one of those he didn't like or took against was the idea that economics was a science.
