Nearly twice as many East Timorries study in Portugal than Australia. In other Portuguese speaking countries such as Brazil, Mozambique and the special administrative region of Macau that figure becomes three times as much. To find out more about the Portuguese influence on education I asked a man whose linguistic repertoire bears testament to the various outside influences on the country.
