Driverless Trucking
CNN's John Defterios talks about the perverse incentives built in to trucking. He says companies are working on driverless cars like technologists, but there is no end game. Some parts of the chain are so highly automated that ships and longhall trucks can still be driven by men named 'lars' or 'jorg jun' The system has resisted every attempt to turn it into a U.S.-based lift-to-tail system because too many contingencies involved.
