Paladin smite formerly called divine smite now gives you a list of paladin exclusive smite spells. You can use legendary resistance to break out of debilitating things period if you force gauge my legendary monster they can use a legendary resistance to rip open the force gauge. hypnotic pattern hypnotic pattern could hit a bunch of guys too and knock them out of commission so I don't think it was that bad to me. Paladins with smites and being able to do stacking smites and critical hits on smites is really big stuff.
