The Only Time You Shouldn't Be Writing in Line Comments and Code
The only time you should be writing in line comments and code is when you're reminding your future self that this was decided for a piece of particular reason because of things outside of the code base. Comments should only exist when they're necessary to explain why. They should never explain what or how. The rare exceptions are when performance is of utmost criticality.
