What Does It Mean to Survive Critique?
Triple dollar sign asks, what does it exactly mean for a guest to survive criticism error correction? Because for example, Newton's theory of gravity has been falsified, but he's still knowledge. When can a theory be considered to have survived criticism? Well, just in those cases where it's not refuted by criticism or experimental refutation. We should expect all of our knowledge to eventually be successfully criticized and thereby improved.
