Cameron's Deep Sea Years
Cameron felt technology had not caught up with the story and vision that he intended to tell in the 90s so he basically tables it or at least like soft develops it. He becomes so obsessed with deep sea diving and is like I have to do this now while I'm still physically fit. It's very similar a megalopolis Francis Ford Coppola vibes where it's like he's been talking about this for 20 years and now he's doing it and it finally happened but it takes a long time.
