The Differences Between Crystal Glass and Lead Glass

Crystal wine glasses, crystal or is lead glass. It's a crystal of a type, but it's made out of lead glass. Can it leach out? Like, is it a problem? I've never heard of anybody talking about it being a problem. So maybe it's bound pretty well. But what it does chemically is it lowers the melting point and makes it more viscous at the same time.
