The Disadvantages of the Modified Rankin Scale for Stroke Patients

A lot of cardiac arrest studies use a modified Rankin scale score of three to show a lack of significant neurological disability at discharge. Dr Cheskis: We wanted to make it as minimal as possible because we felt that amodified Rankin scale scored of three actually did have disabilities. The other option would be to use CPC score. But we just chose modified Rankin Scale because many of the previous rock studies that we had taken part in also used that modified Rankinscale score.
