CHAPTER

Then Ahaz's New Altar, the One Thet Urijah Built

Levi Andles: In the book of Genesis, Israel's king Ahaz sets up a new altar to represent repentance. He asks why we have to sacrifice so much in this day and age when there is no need for it. Levi says god wants us to offer all that we can until he has nothing left to ask from us. The old one should be moved out of the way while the new one will take its place at the front of the temple mount. But what about the other one? Oh, the brazen altar shall be for me to inquire by.
