How Do You Stop a Bad Person With a Gun?

Guns are limited. How do you stop a bad person with a gun? The number one way to neutralize the playing field for somebody who has a gun and has malicious, andr ill intent is to have someone else with that tool. Humility seems to be a common factor amongst good leaders and high achieving individuals. Do you think this comes from progressing from lower ranks and having to prove yourself to your peers throughout the service or does it come from individual upbringing? Would be great to hear your thoughts.
