Mentalism is like magic but more with your thoughts and with your mind. It's still at its basis a trick. No amount of body language or behavioral analysis will ever allow me to know what word you thought of in a book. That doesn't exist. Where that comes in is the presentation. I can guide certain things to go a certain way to increase my odds of having a certain outcome. When I see someone think of something, all of a sudden I see so I it's one thing to say, think of a person's name. But when they think of this person, I might see a bit of a smile. I might see them kind of swoon a little.
