In India, unless the actors in Slumdog were already popular, it did practically nothing for them. Like no one really had a career in India after that. Irfan Khan started getting rolled in Hollywood movies, but like those worst, most horribly wasted. The best Hollywood role he ever got was life of pie. It's just that he's so captivating in even his limited scenes there.
