Darwin and Literature: A Creative Process

I think writing nonfiction is as much a creative process as writing fiction. And I very much found that working on this book on Darwin and literature led me to insights if I can use this phrase, which I had absolutely, absolutely no idea about. One of the very exciting things that it showed to me was that women were always active, but they were active in a different sorts of ways. It's an interesting contrast to the science, where not only did women not get involved,. but they were actively kept out by leading evolutionists like Thomas Henry Huxley.
