The Democratic Party's Defections Against Kevin McCarthy's Speaker

Hakeem Jeffries has been the top vote getter each round because of Republican defections against McCarthy. He hasn't gotten enough, of course, to become a speaker and he won't. But nevertheless, you know, that is an extra twist to the knife for Republicans. I love just glancing over at the Democratic side of the chamber and just seeing them effectively happy. They've had such a good time with it.
