The Parallels Between Syria and the Russian Invasion
The Geneva Conventions were set out to protect civilians, medical facilities and prisoners of war. Putin has consistently and flagrantly mocked these conventions. In Syria, if you killed a doctor, you killed a hundred people because a doctor is the head of the community. So by taking doctors out of the equation as being the heads of community, you were weakening. It was a top down way of completely weakening Syrian society.
