"I was screaming my entire life going this is wrong like this is horrifying and I've always felt like I was screaming and no one could hear me," she said. "That's a part of what makes healing trauma such a courageous experience that I don't think go ahead Martha." She says the system can come up against it so hard when people aren't ready to accept or share their traumas with others.
