The Problem With Reductive Compatibility

Early compatibilists have this kind of idea offering a kind of linguistic reduction. The view presupposes that the agent can choose already, and so choosing language shows up in the counterfactuals. I think there's a deeper problem that this extensional failure highlights. But you can still think about it in terms of abilities or dispositions.
